Fiesta Del Sol Returns to Solana Beach May 20-21

For 38 years, Solana Beach has been presenting Fiesta Del Sol. Someday I'll get around to digitizing my video of the Rugburns from circa 1994, but in the meantime, some of the headliners have been announced. Of course, May 20th is also the day of the Festival of Arts in North Park but I'm sure you can make the rounds. As always, this is a free, all ages event, and I think they might even run some special Coasters to get there (but don't quote me on that).

Belly Up Entertainment Announces 

2017 Fiesta Del Sol Headliners 

Saturday May 20 and Sunday May 21

Solana Beach, CA - Musical headliners Dead Man’s Party, Pato Banton, and Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers will bring an exciting mix of reggae, new wave rock, and Latin-influenced pop and Americana music to the 37th annual Fiesta Del Sol, a free outdoor festival hosted by the Solana Beach Chamber of Commerce and produced in association with the legendary Belly Up nightclub.  Fiesta Del Sol continues its tradition of presenting an fun-filled mix of national and local talent, along with arts and craft, food, rides and a beer and wine garden on Saturday May 20 and Sunday May 21. The event takes place adjacent to Fletcher Cove in Solana Beach, California within the area bordered by South Sierra Avenue and Acacia Avenue.

The all-ages event features more than 20 bands over two days, and the music, which is arranged by the Belly Up, includes a mix of national headliners, local favorites, and many great up-and-comers that have had success onstage at the legendary Solana Beach nightclub.  Also appearing in addition to this year’s headliners are long-time San Diego favorites Betamaxx, Anuhea, Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers,  as well as The Pine Mountain Logs, and Atomic Groove.  More artists will be announced in the weeks ahead on the Fiesta Del Sol website.
