CoViD-19: ABC Offers Regulatory Relief | San Diego County Passes Motion to Accelerate Phase 2 and propose Phase 3 Pilot for Reopening

Adios, mariposa maravillosa
Oh, man. Today's post is gonna be super long. I think I'm going have to get out of the house today because the past two days of hikes really changed my overall mood and demeanor and I'd like to keep that going. Until I do that, I'm working outside for a little bit and listening to the County Supervisors meeting. I also spoke with Tim Mays this morning, so for anyone wondering, I've been "rehired" and ended my EDD/UI claim and we've got some Casbah stuff cooking for the near and distant future. For anyone following along with my posts, my butterfly is gone. I hadn't seen it at all over the weekend, but figured it was because of my late sleeping hours but it has either moved on or died and now we've got a couple monarchs hanging around. It was a beautiful little relationship while we had it. Anyway, the Supervisors just adjourned for lunch and it was a doozy, so I'll cut off this post now and continue with a new one when they reconvene.

Another Normal Heights Shooting

Last night there was another shooting in Normal Heights, and again the victim was leaving the A/C Lounge, only this time, instead of it being random, there was a post-bar altercation and the little punk came back and shot the other dude in the face. Another major difference is that since the shooter was at the A/C, witnesses were able to piece things together and the guy was arrested. I've written extensively about the shootings in my area here and I also attended a community meeting and wrote about it here.

It's not enough to get pissed off. This is OUR community. Do the simple things: keep an eye on your neighborhood, turn on or install security lighting, and, um, don't get in bar fights becuase people are fucking psycho and even more so after a night of drinking. I'd personally like the A/C Lounge to take some responsibility this time around. I don't know how you change the entire clientele of a bar, but something's gotta happen and soon. These situations are unacceptable.

Hit & Run Accident In Mission Valley: Did you see it?

This is a repost for Amanda, who is looking for the witness she spoke with after being rearended in Mission Valley.
I was hit by a teal/blue mid-late 1990's Ford Expolrer with a giant
"Lakeside" sticker on the rear window. I was driving a 1999 Green Mitsubishi Galant and your family was in a Tahoe, with a female driving. She had a head wrap/or Burka on.

The accident was near the Sprint store, near Mission Valley Costco and Ikea.

The car that hit me sped off was the one described above and you talked to my friend and I about what the car looked like. I would really appreciate it if you took down any of the license plate or info about the car.
If you have any information about this accident, please e-mail me and I'll forward the information to Amanda.
