San Diegans and baseball fans are heartbroken to hear the news of Tony Gwynn's passing. I don't typically post death notices, but growing up in this city means that many of my childhood memories are intertwined with family outings to baseball games, and Tony Gwynn was the heart of our team and an icon for athletes across all sports.
