Glass Animals Appear on Sunday at CRSSD Festival (Taken 5.19.2015)

Doing listings last night made me feel like everything is normal again. And while San DIego was looking pretty hopeful after we got our weekend cases rundown, with under 200 on Sunday, the data always catches up and so I know lots of people are going to shows and I encourage it if you're vaccinated and boosted and doing smart things to protect yourself, but I'd still suggest wearing a high quality mask at shows. A friend of mine thought travel to Las Vegas was safe and is now sick and isolating, a bit of a high risk because he's immunocompromised, so the virus is still out there, it's still "sticky", and you can still get and transmit it. 

Still, there's lots to be optimistic about and there were a ton of great new show announcements over the past week. CRSSD Festival is happening this weekend, but be warned that we are expecting some rain, so plan accordingly. Consider using public transit to get there to avoid parking and rideshare nightmares that plague the event.

CRSSD Announces Fall 2019 Lineup

I was just looking at an old Hot Chip poster thinking they were due for another San Diego date. CRSSD Fest just announced their Fall 2019 lineup, taking place on September 29 & 30 at Waterfront Park. Tickets open Tuesday, June 11th at 11AM PT. Alumni on sale just before that at 10AM. Save this link.

I mentioned that I'd update the listings when CRSSD Festival gave the Saturday and Sunday performer breakdowns, and sure enough, I posted listings at 6am and a couple hours later, CRSSD posted to Instagram. Ask and you shall receive. And it's good to know some of you are still reading this site so thanks for bringing the posts to my attention. CRSSD Festival happens twice a year at Waterfront park and sells out super fast every time, so sign up for their newsletter (scroll to the bottom of the page) because it is almost certain that as soon as this one passes, they'll be posting dates and on sales for the next one, which I suspect will be September 28-29th.

CRSSD Festival is returning to the San Diego County Waterfront Park on March 5 & 6, 2016. Over the holidays the preliminary lineup was announced and tickets went on sale. You're definitely not too late to grab tickets but don't wait as prices will definitely go up and both the spring and fall versions sold out in 2015.

Fall CRSSD Festival Announced: October 10 & 11 at Waterfront Park

Over the weekend we were all so consumed with Comic-Con that I didn't post this announcement for the new CRSSD Festival that was announced for the fall. Things To Do In San Diego: March 15-17, 2015

I didn't make it down to CRSSD FEST yesterday because I wasn't planning on going until 5 or 6, but by the time I was actually ready to leave the house, I got a call to do merch at The Observatory. It was okay, though, because my Friday night was awesome with The Twilight Sad and Port St. Willow at the Merrow, and then Darren met up with me to catch a little bit of the show and then we closed the night with Marjy and Robin at Livewire and some late night grub at Tam's. Knowing this festival was this weekend lit a bit of a fire under me, so I went ahead and did the whole week's listings a little early.
