February is Museum Month in San Diego which mean you can head to participating San Diego Libraries to pick up a free pass that will get you half off entry to a ton of San Diego's museums. To see the full list of pass pickup locations and participating destinations, go to the official site here.

This February, San Diego Museum Council is teaming up with San Diego area libraries, Hilton and Macy’s to make San Diego Museum Month 2020 bigger and better than ever. 

With more than 40 museums and cultural attractions offering half-off admission throughout the month, there’s something for everyone including visual art and design, children, science and nature, aquariums and zoos, historical sites, military, transportation, culture and heritage. And with these special savings that are only offered once a year, it’s a great time to visit both old favorites and new attractions you may not have heard of.  

#SDMuseumMonth passes are now available at more than 70 libraries county-wide, participating Macy’s stores or when you book a stay at a local Hilton.

*Up to four guests (any age) can receive 50% off the cost of regular admission when the San Diego Museum Month is presented. Note that some museums may limit the number of visits per pass.

Macy's & San Diego Museum Council Team Up for Museum Month

As anyone with a family can atest, the museums of San Diego can often feel out of reach. Basic entry can be pricey, add the extra charge for special exhibits, and then the negotiating with the kids that it will be fun! when they feel like a 10 minute walk through is sufficient, and well, good luck getting museums in your life. Of course, you can brave the hoards on free Tuesdays at Balboa Park, but with museums closing before most people's workdays end, you're basically enjoying the arts with every stroller toting stay-at-home mom. Enter Museum Month, an attempt to make these institutions more accessible. The pass is free at any Macy's register just for the asking (I picked one up yesterday) and each pass is good for up to four admissions at half price. Bonus: Every museum month pass has a coupon for Macy's and a discount code to get an annual subscription of San Diego Magazine for only $8.

Arts, entertainment and culture collide for Macy’s Museum Month in San Diego. This February the San Diego Museum Council and Macy’s have teamed up again for Museum Month, giving patrons a chance to discover what’s new at more than 40 area museums with savings only seen once a year.

Participants can pick up a Museum Month Pass at any area Macy’s store to enjoy half-off admission to all of the participating museums through the entire month of February. Plus, with 2016 being a leap year, you get an extra day to enjoy museum going.

Passes will be available beginning February 1 at all San Diego, Temecula and Imperial Valley Macy’s. Click here to find the store nearest you.

Guests with a pass can bring up to three people to participating museums to receive half-off admission for the entire party. Additional fees may apply for special exhibitions. Each pass also features an exclusive $10 coupon off any $30 or more at Macy’s.

Museum Month Is In Effect: Half Price Museums in February

This February, Macy's Museum Month, presented by the San Diego Museum Council, gives locals and visitors a chance to discover what's new at 45 area museums. Pick up a free Macy's Museum Month Pass at any local Macy's store to enjoy half-off admission to all participating museums throughout February. Discover San Diego's rich arts, culture, science, and nature destinations.

For the first time, download a Macy's Museum Month pass online at www.sandiegomuseumcouncil.org. This special online coupon will only be available February 1-8 (passes will be available at Macy's stores all month long). Or, pick up your Museum Month passes at any of Macy's 15 locations in the San Diego area, including Temecula and Imperial Valley. Each pass also features an exclusive $10 coupon off any purchase of $30 or more at Macy's. The fun kicks off February 1, 2015!
