Being on the inside of information at the Casbah still gives me a little tug of "is this reality?"  Sometimes this also means that you benefit when I get to give you little sneak peeks at our music goodness. The Casbah has some really great shows in December, and we're actually doing presales for a couple of them. Morrissey Ticket Presale This Thursday

Last week Morrissey announced tourdates, including November 22 at California Center For the Arts, Escondido. Tickets go onsale this Friday at 10am, but you can catch the presale here starting on Thursday at 10am. Password is AEG2011. Tickets are $55 + $11.85 in fees.

Ryan Adams Presale Kicks Off Today at 10am

Tickets for the Ryan Adams show I posted about on Monday go onsale officially this Friday, but for those of you paying attention, there's a presale that starts today at 10am. You can find the password, courtesy of KPRI, HERE. You might notice the note on the Ticketmaster event page "*THERE IS A 2 WEEK TICKETFAST DELIVERY DELAY*". Pretty sure that means that even if you buy tickets to print at home, you don't get a link for two weeks as a means to prevent scalping. Good on them.

The Casbah Brings Fleet Foxes Back To San Diego

I generally don't project out about upcoming shows, however, since The Decemberists are long sold out for their show next week at the House of Blues (credit to "The Colbert Bump" on that one), I'll give you fair warning for another Casbah Presents show in the indie-rock bible.

Fleet Foxes are returning to San Diego on May 6 and tickets are going on sale this Friday at noon through Ticketmaster and the Spreckels box office. Save this link and get those fingers ready.

A word of advice, if you're not already registered with Ticketmaster, you should head over to the site and create a login and save a credit card to your account. You'll find this speeds up your transaction immensely. I'm sure somewhere out there, presales are available if you know where to look (today at 10 am pst, specifically).

Grab a free download from the Sub Pop band, and grab your tickets. I can't imagine a more perfect room to see the Foxes.

Dr. Dog Announce Tour: Presale starts today!

Dr. Dog has announced a tour in support of their forthcoming record, Shame, Shame, including a date at The Belly Up on November 6. They'll be appearing with Here We Go Magic and Good Old War (who are awesome, by the way). Tickets go on sale Friday, but you can catch the presale here starting Tuesday and are available through Thursday. Find the username and password at the bottom of this post.

No Doubt Add 2nd Chula Vista Date

No Doubt's return is so highly anticipated that in addition to the May 22 show, a second show has been added to the tail of the tour on August 8. Tickets for the 2nd show go onsale at noon on Saturday via Ticketmaster, but you can join the No Doubt fanclub for exclusive presale tickets (that started on Wednesday at 4pm) here.

Also, tickets for the recently announced Kings of Leon show at Cox Arena on August 21will go on sale on Friday at noon via Ticketmaster.

Boy George Is Coming To Viejas

Culture Club's "Colour By Numbers" was the first vinyl I ever bought with my own money. I think I was about 7 and my sister and I paid $5.99 at Target for the 12", and I thought, "wow, he is so pretty!" I still have that record and I still think "Victims" is an amazing song. My mom is awesome for enduring "Karma Chameleon" about 7 bazillion times.

Duran Duran Summer Tour Coming To San Diego

I just came across the dates for Duran Duran this summer. They will be in San Diego on May 8. Tickets are on pre-sale on Ticketmaster for Citi cardmembers. The show is going to be at Valley View Casino which is quite a trek from San Diego proper, but you probably aren't gonna want to dish out the $95 per ticket anyway.

Funny memory: once I was backstage at a show with Neurotic Outsiders and John Taylor flashed me a view under his kilt when I asked if what they say about kilts is true. That was a very long time ago when that band was called Neurotic Boy Outsiders and they and Hog opened for Blink 182 at 4th and B.

Del Mar Fair Tickets Onsale 3.19.08

Yeah, I know, it's supposed to be the San Diego County Fair, but I'm old school.
Anyway, their summer line-up has been announced and they've sent an e-mail to their subscribers that there's some super top secret password to buy pre-sale tickets starting tomorrow on ticketmaster. Or, you can just read sd:dialed in and get the password for tickets. How about I'll give it to you in Spanish and you have to translate?

Eddie Vedder Solo Tour; Playing Spreckels April 15

Eddie Vedder will be doing a solo tour down the West Coast in April.
The venues are small and the tickets are not cheap. The base price is $65 plus venue and ticket fees.
Tickets for Ten Club members go onsale tomorrow.
Regular tickets go onsale on Friday via Ticketbastard at 10 am pst.
The Ten Club is going to great lengths to avoid brokers by limiting the amount of tickets available per person (2) and preventing the transfer of tickets while also making tickets available only through will call the day of each show.

Wilco Pre-Sale Is Closed For SDSU Open Air Theatre

So hopefully you logged on at 10 on the dot and got your tickets. I got a pair ($85.30 for two with service charge and shipping which I forgot to change) but am hoping one of my friends in the pit will sell me one of theirs and then I'll unload mine. (Nick Montes, I'm talking to you! Think Battles!) Personally, I like the OAT so I think this will be a great show. How did you all fare?

And for Daye, according to the 2004 "Buildings and Ground Use" manual from San Diego State University, the capacity for the Open Air Theatre is 4,635, though I think this might not include the bleacher/garden seating that is sometimes added at the top.

Just wanted to confirm that my speculation was correct. Tickets for Wilco's San Diego performance at the Open Air Theatre will be onsale this Saturday at 10 am but the pre-sale starts on Wednesday at 10 a.m. Register here for pre-sale.

FYI, capacity at the Embarcadero is huge and is general admission. I don't suspect this will be the kind of event that will sell out in 20 minutes when it actually goes onsale on Saturday. In the past, tickets for Viejas shows are available at the Sports Arena with no service charges.
