Jeff's Weekly Pick: AA Bondy @ The Casbah Wednesday September 1, 2010

What does a musician do after being involved in a motorcycle accident which requires recuperation time? Announce an upcoming tour, of course. That is exactly what Scott (aka AA) Bondy did after his Memorial Day mishap. The next leg of the tour brings the talented troubadour to The Casbah this Wednesday. Having seen Mr. Bondy perform alone and with a backing band, the show is worth seeing either way. This is because of his ability to deliver his beer soaked ramblings in a truly effective manner. Leaving his former grunge musical background in the dust, Scott released American Hearts, a folk album which he wrote in the Catskill Mountains in upstate New York. A rigorous touring schedule was well received and led to his sophomore effort, When The Devil's Loose. This album is really more of the same folk ballads which have become his trademark. It will be a pleasure to see the recovered AA Bondy playing his guitar and harmonica at the Middletown mainstay. A great way to start the month for sure.

JBM and Aaron Swanton set the stage.
