I can't tell you how excited I am the Soulsavers are playing at the Casbah tomorrow. I was a Screaming Trees fan in the 90s and Mark Lanegan's voice has always been haunting in way that still makes the hair on my arm stand straight up when listened to under the right conditions, yet somehow I've never seen him live in any of the many bands and projects he's had since the demise of the Trees. I'll be doing merch for them, so check it out and say hi. The fact that I'll be there for sound check makes me stoked beyond words. I'll attempt a couple pictures, but for some reason I have the impression that Mr. Lanegan probably wouldn't like that very much. Who knows, maybe there's a teddy bear behind that grit and toughness.
