Things To Do In San Diego: Thursday, June 8-Sunday, June 11, 2017

I've hardly been outside this week. I recovered from camping but between working, reading, writing, and sleeping super odd ours of the day, I haven't caught any shows this week. In fact, I have barely left the house besides a fun morning hike at Mission Trails and a trip to the library to get more books. Part of that is because this is going to be a huge weekend. I'll be working for RFTC all day Friday at Oysterfest, Saturday we've got a birthday party and I'll be working for Earthless at the Casbah, and Sunday should be a marathon of music, which also means I've got to get next week's listings done earlier than usual plus some posts I've been researching and will try to get out soon. Yikes. This week in San Diego has been interesting, between Monday's Council meeting and Wednesday's brawl at the Observatory, it's easy to go down the news rabbit hole, but I promise I'll get out today and hopefully make it to check The Overcoats tonight. Thursday through Sunday archives are after the jump.
Soccer season ended on Sunday. Gonna miss these girls, but we've surrendered and will be coaching this fall.

Things To Do in San Diego: Monday, June 5- Wednesday, June 7, 2017

I am exhausted. If you need to reach me today, send telepathic messages through my dreams because I have some sleeping to catch up on. The In-Ko-Pah 4 was beyond what I could've imagined and I look forward to telling you all about it, plus we had Nova's final soccer game of the season, and I worked at the Irenic on Sunday night, but for now, let me just get this week's events posted for you and I'll fill you in on the other good stuff later this week. Monday through Wednesday archives are after the jump.

Get FM 94/9 SPF Tickets For Just $20!!

I work closely with a lot of venues and radio stations and so I try not to jeopardize those relationships by spilling the beans on announcements or promo codes, but this one is too good not to share.  Better to ask for forgiveness than permission, right?

The 94/9 App revealed that there's a special friend and employee code to get tickets for just $20 instead of the usual $30...I'm not sure how many tickets can sell before someone catches the mistake, but just assume they're all off for Memorial Day Weekend and it won't get fixed until someone techie enough is back in the office.  Use this link and promo code FRIENDS949. I can't guarantee it still works, but it's worth a shot for this rad lineup.  (This is an older poster; apparently VIP at $55 is already sold out). Get these while you can!!
