Listen to Causes 2 on MTV2

This is straight from a press release, but this album has amazing artists and is for a great cause, so check it out:

Waxploitation and MTV are partnering up to premiere Causes 2 a week before the album comes out via MTV's The Leak. The album will debut April 28th to May 5th via The Leak, which gives music fans the chance to listen to new albums in their entirety, from start to finish, one week before their official release.

You can hear the album at www.mtv.com/music/the_leak. The album is available worldwide in both CD and digital formats. Pre-orders are available at www.waxploitation.com/buycauses

The album will be prominently featured on MTV, mtvU, MTV.com and Think.MTV.com, where people can learn more about the crisis in Darfur

Causes 2 is the second album from Waxploitation's ongoing benefit series for Darfur. 100% of the profits from the album go to Human Rights Watch, Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) and Oxfam America.

The album includes rare and exclusive songs from some of the most compelling artists in the indie and alternative worlds: Black Moth Super Rainbow, The Decemberists, Devendra Banhart, Diplo, Federico Aubele, Gnarls Barkley, LCD Soundsystem, Matthew Dear, Mum, My Morning Jacket, Neon Neon, Richard Swift, RJD2, and Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, as well as a contribution from Adult Swim's Tim & Eric.

Videophiles Needed: Help The Swedish Models

The Swedish Models have been invited to submit live video, concert footage, etc. to MTV2.

From MTV:

MTV2 has noticed the tremendous fan support you have as a top band in San Diego and wants to give your band a chance to be featured on MTV2!

This is your chance to show San Diego what you’ve got! All you have to do is send us any footage that you have, including music videos, interview clips, fan shout outs, backstage moments, etc.

Anyway, Dustin and the boys need help. They're playing at the Beauty Bar tomorrow and are hoping some fans will step up who have experience with recording high-end live video (and have the equipment to do so) who can come to the show and record their set. You'd be on the list, get video credit and be doing a huge favor to our local guys. They're also looking for someone to shoot some interview and non-performance footage.

If you can help out, you can contact me at sddialedin AT gmail DOT com or contact Dustin directly at dustin DOT paul AT hotmail DOT com.
