The first Sunday of November has arrived with an earlier sunset (turning the clocks back last night) and the reality that autumn is truly here, even in San Diego. For those wanting to finish the weekend on a high note, look no further than The Griffin where the Casbah is presenting a great show at the intimate Morena Blvd. venue. Headlining is New York singer/songwriter Diego Garcia, touring to promote his latest album,
Paradise. This is a big step forward for Garcia, both personally and professionally. The songs on his latest creation reveal a more confident and contented person.

Opening the show tonight are one of L.A.'s newer bands, Kan Wakan. Starting as a threesome but expanding to a seven piece currently, the band recently released its first EP,
Forever Found. Soulful vocals backed by an orchestral sound comes to mind when describing the band.
