Thoughts from a Homebrewer

Yes, this post has been a long time coming. I have sort of been busy drinking beer. Sorry :). Well, not just drinking but brewing, pouring, studying and traveling for beer. It has become a passion and over the last few years I have been immersed in the San Diego beer culture. Hopefully, I can keep you guys informed on the local happenings.

Last night I attended Sea Rocket Bistro Lightning night with Jim Crute, Michael and Joe from Lightning Brewery in Poway, CA. The 4-course dinner paired four beers with a group of 18ish people. The complete menu is posted here but it doesn't really detail palate sensations I experienced last night. At 50$ a head it wasn't cheap but opportunity to sit with the brewers and talk about beer is always tantalizing to me. I recommend stopping by Lightning and sampling their selection of delicate beers.

From time to time I will update the beer happenings in San Diego to help guide you through this beer gold mine we call home. This list is short right now but check back for updates!

love to see diversity in the local posts. Keep up the great home-brewing work. SD has a good home brew scene going...
