Upcoming Shows at The Observatory North Park (Updated 10/9)

Not a whole lot of change or updates to the Observatory calendar this week, I think the only addition is Grouch & Eligh with Chali 2na, but also the Ghost show changed from 10/30 to 11/2. Everything else is more or less the same, though a couple of the age limits were corrected on the website. A lot of people seem to get confused about the age limits at the Observatory. There are a whole bunch of reasons to do one or the other, but the main issue is curfew. If a show can be mostly done by the legal curfew, the shows are generally all ages (which is where you see those 6 and 6:30 door times). For others, especially a Friday or Saturday night, where the crowd will be comingling with West Coast Tavern patrons, even to just use the bathroom, the shows have to be 18+ or 21+. It is also an issue of the types of performers, their fan demographic, and ultimately the promoter-- who has to pay for the security and insurance. So, I'm sorry to the mom who thinks her 17 year old kid is super special so she should be able to write a note granting permission to attend, but they're still not allowed if they're not meeting the age requirement.
