Twitter Tour?

Man what a day Monday was. It looked like another one of “those” till it got a pleasant twist when Kris told me that Dagart’s twitter tour had a stop in 15 minutes on Adams Ave. in front of the fabric store by Lestat’s. “Cool” I said, “lets check this sucker out!” So we headed on down had ourselves a pretty cool experience with Shane, some rapper dude form Portland, and the man himself.
So what is a Twitter tour you ask? I dunno, I guess maybe it’s a concept music series conceived over at Andy’s place one night. Or maybe you can call it an assault on societies ears at large. Maybe its taking the paradigm of playing music out and kicking it in the teeth…hard. Maybe, I dunno, probably not. Really its just his super cool idea that I got lucky enough to be part of.
Basically how it works is Dagart is will be twittering that he is playing a show somewhere and then he’ll go and play it at the appointed time. I’m not saying its rocket science, just that its cool! He’s thus far played Andy’s living room, a 7-11 in LA, a bus stop on University Ave. and the fabric store. (Pretty weird story about the bus stop one, ask him or Travis sometime!)
So why did I tell you this? Just cus I think its pretty spectacular what he’s doing. I’m not sure why he’s doing it, and to me it doesn’t really matter. But in the face of all sorts of disillusionment, the twitter tour makes me smile. It makes me hopeful somehow. Maybe its because it just is. I can’t really say, and I don’t wanna think about it too much anyways.
