For Your Ears: Ha Ha Tonka

For those unfamiliar with Missouri indie rock band Ha Ha Tonka, the quartet returns to San Diego tonight (Thursday) at the Casbah. Named after a state park bearing the same name, the band has been together for almost ten years. Their fourth release on Bloodshot Records, Lessons, is relatively more of the country tinged rock we have come to expect from the quartet. This is one of the most upbeat bands I have seen perform live. Wanting to have a good time while sharing their music with new fans as well as those familiar with the group becomes readily apparent during their performance.

If you are undecided about what to do tonight, head to the iconic Middletown venue and have fun watching one of indie rock's better kept secrets.

Samantha Crain and Grampa Drew set the stage. Tickets can be puchased in advance here or at the door.
