Photos: Rachel Platten at The Observatory North Park, 2.9.2016

I had no intention of going to see Rachel Platten perform at the Observatory, but then I was texting our production manager about set times and then he offered for me to shoot, and so an hour later, there I was. Rachel Platten is not the typical artist that I'm into, but for a pop artist, the woman has some serious pipes. Her songs lean more toward strong female messages and girl power that spoke to the hundreds of young girls who were screaming in the room. I promised Nova I'd be home before her bedtime, so I didn't stay for the whole show which meant that I wasn't there for the hit, "Fight Song", but I can be pretty sure that the entire room sang word for word right along with Rachel.
