Casbah Anniversary Show: The Hatchet Brothers, 1.11.08

Last night was another great night of music. I've long been a fan of The Hatchet Brothers, and a fan of Gregory Page's solo work as well as Frank Lee Drennen's band Loam. Their album Stereoscopic and the Mega EP were my soundtracks for my first year of college and I really miss how much fun Wednesdays used to be at The Ould Sod when they'd perform to a packed house week after week. The show wasn't sold out so it was a nice break and I was able to watch most of the show (though I didn't get to go in for C.L.A. or Janu & The Whalesharks, though both sounded fantastic from the patio).

Here are some of my favorite pics of the night, including some of Steve Poltz who joined in for a song:

Oh, I did get one of Janu & The Whalesharks during their sound check. I really look forward to seeing this band again because their vocal harmonies, handclaps and general songwriting were phenomenal.
