CoViD-19 California Cases On The Rise, Expands Testing | San Diego Polls Open Saturday | US Buys Antibody Drug (That May or May Not Work) for $1250 Per Dose |

October 30th is World Lemur Day (Taken 10.7.2020)

It should be concerning that the lowest dip in COVID-19 cases since the summer was still higher than the highest peak from the spring, but if you believe the administration, there's nothing to worry about. We have really, really blown it with this entire pandemic. After "flattening the curve" we could've "isolated the infection" or "squashed the sickness" but only recently have people actually been talking about getting rid of the virus, when California is on the verge of 1 million cases and the US is likely going to hit 10 million cases within two weeks.
Last night Darren and I had fun in the speakeasy watching Shoot The Glass play Bar Pink, then Tim Fears came over (backyard distanced) and I got a bit more tipsy than expected, but fun all the same.
Today we spent the afternoon at my mom's house attempting to put together her new shed which has about a thousand different parts, so I guess we know how we'll be spending the rest of the weekend. I still hope we'll get to make it to the Zoo or Safari park on Sunday to celebrate the end of free October kids (not that it's a bad thing, just the crowds were too much for us.)
Everyone went to bed early tonight so I'm watching Holidate on Netflix, an utterly predictable rom-com and will spend the rest of my raging Friday night catching up on my Bravo shows.
If you haven't yet voted, polling places open on Saturday or you can still drop off your mail-in ballot at official dropboxes, including at city and county libraries. Let's end our national nightmare once and for all.
