Today was a really nice day. The weather has been perfect this weekend after a crazy hot summer and it was nice hanging out in the yard today. We watched some of the #SOSFest on YouTube, Darren is happy because he can finally play guitar again after hurting his shoulder last week, and the animals are all happy that the plumber is done and gone. I talked to my mom today so we'll be heading down to Chula Vista to help her with a Costco delivery she's expecting in the morning. I think I've got some Housewives to catch up on so I'm just gonna leave today's stats and I'll be back tomorrow per usual, with the Governor's briefing.

• If you recall, on Friday the County held a special media briefing to warn San Diego that we could be sliding back into the purple tier. If you also recall, I was using the wrong numbers when trying to pre-assess the County's numbers per 100k because it's based on illness onset, not by positive test result dates. But today's test positivity was 373 new cases, which is nearly double what we need it to be to move into less restrictive tiers. I'm not saying we're gonna go purple, but it isn't looking good. We're definitely on the uptick with cases once again. Remember, we have to be purple for two weeks before we slide back, but it doesn't seem like we're too far away from getting there.
