The Yes Team EP Release Party Featuring The Paragraphs, Old Tiger and DJ Man Cat! A STACHE BASH! Friday, Movember 30th

By Caitlin Prenga of AMD Entertainment:

Gentlemen, put away those razors. Ladies, start practicing your sharpie skills. It’s time to start growing your best Movember ‘stache in preparation for A Stache Bash brought to you by AMD Entertainment and One Hart Events and hosted by The Ruby Room on Movember 30th at 8pm. Along with raising proceeds to aid in the fight against prostate cancer, we’ll be celebrating The Yes Team’s latest EP release, “Life is Good”, with special guests The Paragraphs, Old Tiger, and DJ Man Cat.
Less than two years ago, Kinnie Dye, Jonathan Walsh, and TJ Moss manifested the power of positive thinking into the sweet, folk sounds of The Yes Team. Their affirmative thinking and sheer raw talent has already led them to win an Emmy Award, numerous songwriting contests, and several fans from the west to the east coast. Their 2011 debut EP, “Back to the Sea”, consisted of mesmerizing harmonies and fresh lyrics that effortlessly lifted the spirit of anyone listening.

Now The Yes Team is back with their latest EP, “Life is Good”, proving we’ve only just dipped our toe into the magic that’s to come. They’ve paired tantalizing acoustics, captivating lyrics and a hint of the bongos to create original and rejuvenating folk rock sounds. With tracks such as “Balance”, “Sunny Side”, and “Life is Good” this EP radiates soulful inspiration to focus on the brighter side of life and to “make happiness your bottom line”. The upbeat melodies and playful instrumentals alone will get you tapping your toe, snapping your fingers, and reaching for the volume.
While nearly every track shines a happy-go-lucky outlook on life, a closer listen will have you realizing they sing both sides of life. Their title track, “Life is Good,” enlightens us to the inevitable dualities of pain and joy, and shares with us just what many of us need to hear: “life is good to those who seek it…” The Yes Team undoubtedly deserves praise for adding their optimistic perspective to lighthearted and buoyant melodies in order to spread the message that happiness is a choice.
Hyping us up for The Yes Team will be the eclectic stylings of The Paragraphs and Old Tiger. The Paragraphs formed in 2008 and define themselves as rock n’ roll, “the real, fun, sexy, hot, lack of sleep, always outrageous kind.” Their latest album, “+/-“, released in October of this year, doesn’t disappoint. With a hint of modern Johnny Cash, their real fun, sexy sides are going to be easy to see on Movember 30th. Also bringing us back to the era circa Johnny Cash is Old Tiger.  Starting out the night, Old Tiger will give us more of the 50’s/60’s pop and old-school R&B vibe. Closing up the night and giving you the chance to show off your epic dance moves will be DJ Man Cat, who will also be keeping you on your feet in between each set.
Music…check. ‘Staches…check. Prizes…check! The Ruby Rooms very own ‘stache master Ryan Roots will be hosting a mustache competition for those of you rockin’ some wild upper lip fur. Get that that creativity flowing and let’s see what stellar ‘stache will take home the grand prize.
Friday, Movember 30th come join us at the Ruby room for A Stache Bash. Rock your best ‘staches while celebrating the release of The Yes Team’s latest EP and helping in the fight against cancer in men.
