CoViD-19: New Orders & Guidelines In Place; "Countrywide Lockdown" Imminent

A pic from Oct 2019, before COVID-19 was a recognized thing

I did that whole giant post about all the things I'd like to do while we're in this CoViD-19 crisis, but the truth is that so far, I've spent most of my time reading emails, staring at the internet, at social media, gathering information, reading all the pandemic porn.

Literally the worst thing you can do. (more after the jump)

Or second worst thing, besides going out of the house into public situations. But we're gonna run out of toilet paper soon, and that joke of a 4 pack they sold us at mini Target isn't gonna cut it. On Sunday night/Monday morning (while doing a 4 am Google search,) the Home Depot website actually said there was limited stock at one of their local stores, so since I had already been up all night anyway, I arrived around 5:40 in anticipation of their 6am opening.

Their website was wrong.

There was no paper to be found. Lots of cleaning supplies and latex gloves and such, but no TP.

It's sad that currently my biggest regret was opting for a Zoo day on our normal Costco day before all the shit really hit the fan, because while we have food and essentials, there are definitely Costco things we buy on the regular that we just don't have at the moment. And one of those things is that comforting knowledge of having a multi-pack of multi-rolls of goddamn toilet paper. (I'm also almost out of 5-HTP which is a whole other thing freaking me out.)

And I'm sorry to say things are not getting better. As more tests are becoming available, more people are testing positive. (That's often how that works.) It's only a matter of time before we're mandatorily sheltering in place, too, beyond just the suggestions and "guidance" we're getting now.

"We will ultimately get to the point where there is a country-wide lockdown, and I would just say, that that probably is coming very soon." - Dr. Wilma Wooten, Public Health Officer (maybe it would've helped if she didn't tell thousands of people that you can only spread COVID if you're showing symptoms, as she did on Sunday)

And all that stuff I wrote about doing stuff and getting out of the house?
Not really sure it's the right thing to do right now. But maybe we need it while we can still do it. Just as long as we're doing it as far from everyone else as we can. (Make your pledge to #FlattenTheCurve) For now, I'd really like to get back to non-Zombie hours and be able to sleep at night again.

As gig employees, our incomes have greatly diminished. Darren cannot drive for a living. The Casbah is closed indefinitely. I have no listings to share on SoundDiego. That said, I get a really sweet commish on CBD products from Pure Ratios. If you or someone you know loves the benefits of CBD, please consider making a purchase through my link
