I was not going to spend my entire day doing listings, so when I woke up at the crack of dawn to get my Wordle of the day done, I decided to just get moving on these. Usually it is pretty dead around the big game but there are actually quite a lot of shows this week. We usually spend game day in Anza or Safari Park, but it may be a little too hot right now and I think it would probably make my dad happy to have us all over eating snacks and hors d'oeuvres all day while watching the dumb game. I always need to take the chance to say how much I hate the NFL and there are about 800 reasons why. I don't hate the sport, so it is certainly a conflict I've had all my life.
Go see a show. Lots of people are counting on you young, health, fully vaccinated and boosted people to go out and keep this economy moving, and music is good for your mental health.

- The 2022 San Diego Music Awards nominees will be announced on Tuesday, February 15 on Facebook Live by our pals Tim Pyles, Lou Niles and Rick Lawrence.
- The Lumineers Brightside World Tour 2022 Announces North American Dates, including a rescheduled San Diego show at Pechanga Arena on July 27. Special Guests Gregory Alan Isakov and Daniel Rodriguez support.
- San Diego's Los Saints signed to Enci Records and will release their first studio recording, 5-Song EP 'Welcome To Confusion', on February 18.
- 91X's SoCal Taco Fest takes place on May 14, 2022 at Waterfront Park. The event recently announced a second stage. The Buena Onda Stage features Banda Machos, Ana Barbara, Los Amigos Invisibles, La Sonora Dinamita con Vilma Diaz, Los Sleepwalkers, and Kimba Light. They'll join the previously announced O.G. Stage with Sir Mix-A-Lot, Treach of Naughty by Nature, ROB BASE, Young M.C., The Purple Madness tribute to Prince, FlashPants, 40oz to Freedom, and High Tide Society. This is a 21+ event and you can get tickets here.
- Bayfest is Back on July 9th at Waterfront Park. Featuring Iration, Tribal Seeds, Collie Buddz, Eli Mac, Boostive, and Vana Liya. Get tickets here starting Friday, February 11 at 10am.
- Tonight, Wednesday February 9th, will be the last jam session with Gilbert Castellanos at Panama 66 for awhile as he requires more surgery and rehab. You can read his public statement here.
