Need last minute weekend plans? Try Lightning in a Bottle!

This weekend, thousands will convene in Irvine at The Do LaB's 5th annual Lightning in a Bottle Festival. If you've been to Coachella, you're familiar with the DoLab and the type of art installations and music that have become iconic year after year.

The "music, arts and green living worlds" will converge at Oak Canyon Ranch in Irvine, California on May 28-31, 2010. The four-day, three-night festival will be headlined by San Diego's own Album Leaf among many other musical guests. Additionally, you can catch live vaudeville performances by Lucent Dossier, art installations, sustainability workshops, yoga classes and more...

Tickets are $190 for the whole weekend. Purchasing and additional information can be found at the official Lightning in a Bottle site, or click 'keep on reading' for the full press release with info and details. And, since I asked, The Album Leaf performs on Sunday at 9pm. Not sure if it will be Jimmy Lavalle performing solo, as a 3 piece, or some other formation, but he knows how to handle such situations.

With a lineup that is equal parts music, art and green workshops, Lightning
in a Bottle will envelop its guests in a myriad of activities throughout the
festival. Three-day passes are available at this time to encourage a sense
of community among all of the artists, musicians, performers, friends and
families. Tickets are available in advance starting at $190 online at
