Philadelphia native Amos Lee will be bringing his acoustic folk style music to San Diego's premier downtown venue this Saturday. A relative newcomer on the singer songwriter scene, Lee will be releasing his fourth full length Mission Bell on January 25. The album features many musical guests (fans) including Willie Nelson, Lucinda Williams, Sam Bream (Iron & Wine), Calexico and others. What separates this talented musician from the rest of the pack is the sincere vocal delivery which mixes several musical styles such as jazz, soul and funk. Making the decision to pursue a musical career instead of teaching has turned out to be the right choice for Amos Lee. It was good fortune that brought Norah Jones to perform on Lee's eponymous first album in 2005. He has also opened for her on a previous tour. His popularity is growing with each album and extended radio play is helping grow his fan base. It will be a joy to see him and his backing band take those in attendance on his musical journey this weekend.
