Things To Do In San Diego: July 5-6, 2011

What a weekend! I don't know about you, but sometimes holidays end up being more exhausting than the actual work week. Personally I saw some great live music, had fun listening to Tim Mays and DJ Claire spin vinyl at the Casbah for Jivewire, caught a punk show at the Tower Bar, and spent the 4th with my family. This week doesn't slow down at all with tonight's sold out show at the Casbah and my upcoming 3 day stint as a "mommy blogger" as I head to the San Diego Zoo Safari Park to explore their Tiny Tots program, borrowing my niece for the adventure. Then this weekend my favorite musician, Rocky Votolato, returns to the Casbah with David Bazan, followed by a night with The White Buffalo, followed by a kick ass show with Generationals and Gardens and Villa. All of that is a few days off, in the meantime it looks like a Casbah heavy week leading into the weekend, too. Seriously, I should just take a sleeping bag.
