Things To Do In San Diego: October 4, 2011

Everyone knows I'm a Rocky Votolato superfan. I was wearing one of his shirts the other day and got a compliment on it, only to realize later that it was probably because v-o-t-o-l-a-t-o is now stretched from nipple to nipple and the shirt has a huge tear in the neck. Band t-shirts allow guys to get away with so much shit (eyes up here, buddy!) Anyway, I love Rocky and I'm excited to see Matt Pond PA for the first time, too, but I would be remiss if I didn't say that I'm sad that I can't be two places at once tonight, because two of my local favorites- Michael McGraw and Jesse LaMonaca- are at the Soda Bar, opening for this awesome band called Maxim Ludwig and the Santa Fe Seven. That show is gonna kick ass, too, so hopefully I can catch some of it before or after the Casbah. Regardless, tonight is a great Tuesday for music (I can't leave out Low Volts at Tin Can and The Rapture at the Belly Up). Anyway, love the city you're in, San Diego, there's so much goodness all around you all the time.
