Breaking News: Chasers Bought By Bluefoot; Closed Without Notice

I just got an email from T-Bone and a text from The Punkboard that the owners of Bluefoot bought Chasers and have closed it without notice.

This means all the shows currently booked at Chasers will need to find a new home.

I will gather information as it comes in, but if your band was scheduled for any Chasers shows, they are cancelled pending further notice/arrangements.

Here's the ABC license with no notice of change.

Let's hope that they make Chasers nicer without turning it into a yuppie bar.

What do you know about Eddie's Place?

Being that we're headed for the second Great Depression, I've been thinking about coming out of retirement and DJ'ing here and there. Do you know of anyone who books old country? I'd love to do an afternoon happy hour one day a week (say, 5 to 8). I play pre-1970honky tonk, western swing, hillbilly boogie, country jazz, hot pickin' and truck drivin.' I don't have a car, so it would have to be a local gig - one I could get to and from on the bus from my Normal Heights residence. Rosey knows how to get ahold of me.

bluefoot sure is expanding their empire! who do they think they are... WhistleStop/TurfClub/Starlite/etc?

interesting to see what comes of that place. I've always been interested in checking it out but tales of sketchiness worse than the old scolari's kept me away.

Ediie's Place looks 'done' inside there, all it needs is some tables and to open their doors. An ad on the internet for chef there said opening "Sept 1 2008". here's to them opening soon. they are burning money by not being open! at least Mosaic Wine Bar across the street is finally under construction from the industrial iron working / apt building it was prior

Rich and Creamy, if the adjective "new" applies to the noun "bar" and not to the noun "country," I'll look into it. Thanks!

I looked into it. Once I saw the phrase "line dancing," I stopped looking. Besides, I'd like something local. If Matt from Bartender's Bible does afternoon shifts at the Live Wire, I should ask him if I can do one with him.
