I never really understood what happened when someone 'throws out their back' and though it's happened to me once before, you forget what it's like until it happens. You don't have to be doing anything particularly strenuous. I had been cleaning, had done 5 loads of laundry, was just about to get ready for my night out, then *BAM*. I was putting shoes away in my closet, lifted a pile of stuff with one hand to shove the shoes into the shelf with the other and suddenly I'm thinking I might end up sleeping in my closet. Fortunately it wasn't that bad, I can still move and do stuff, it's just when I move a certain way, then I'm hunched over like I'm 90. I'm not gonna let it stop me though, just don't make too much fun of me if I look like a grandma who just got off a horse.
Don't forget the Beer Week stuff can all be found at SDBW.org, San Diego Beer Blog, and West Coaster. On another note, this week at the Casbah is packed with great shows. Best Coast is already sold out. The Silent Comedy is close to selling out. Friday's Margot & The Nuclear So and So's and Saturday's show with The Soft Pack and Kurt Vile will likely sell out if they haven't already. A lot of times you can wait till the day of show, but this week, I wouldn't recommend it. Check out the calendar and buy your tickets now.
