Lost opportunity

Last night at karaoke, I ran into my friend Brad on my way out of the bar and he walked me home. He played bass in the influential punk band The Wipers back in the day. I just thought I would mention this because 1. I can't believe he hasn't been nabbed to play in a current San Diego project in the time that he's been here, and 2. Stereogum has a post about a list in Q Magazine article that lists it's version of the 20 songs that most influenced Kurt Cobain. The Wipers are absent from that list, but if you read the comments, people are freaking out that they were left off.

He will not be happy that I posted any of this, but that's him on the left...

By the way, Taang! Records has the 7" box set of several bands doing covers of Wipers tunes, called "14 Songs for Greg Sage: Wipers Tribute" , including Nirvana. Tell Miggs I sent you.
