Koala Joey at San Diego Zoo (Taken 2.5.2021) |
In the new saga that is my life, today the construction began next door. We were told we'd have a fence by Friday, but instead we have the opposite: a partially excavated empty lot with no fences to the street, alley, or between our properties. I stayed in bed just dreading looking at it, but when I finally did I crawled back in bed until I realized I can't really do anything about it and should still go to the San Diego Zoo. We waited until Nova was done with piano, so we only got about an hour in but I was still grateful to have gotten out of the house.
By the time we were back and realized all the fencing was gone, I reached out to a couple dudes who are the liaisons but it was too late. Hopefully we don't have to wait for Monday but I have no faith in this developer whatsoever and just a few weeks in, he's been nothing but incompetent. It. sucks.
But I can't let it ruin every day from now until completion so hopefully we just have a couple bad days and it isn't a constant battle. Stay safe out there and enjoy the beautiful San Diego weekend coming our way.
