Me and My Valentine, Darren (Taken 2.11.2021) |
I'm gonna follow the lead of everyone else and take the day (mostly) off. I've included data where it was provided but I guess this big weekend with Lunar New Year, Valentine's Day, and President's Day all in the course of four days has everyone taking time off. I will say that while the holiday may be having an effect, our numbers are looking promising with the lowest new cases we've had in ages and hospitalizations and ICU hospitalizations are looking promising, too, and indications are that ICU won't go down much more because hospitals are finally scheduling other types of surgeries.
Around here we had a low key day. Darren and Nova built a succulent wall garden planter out of a pallet they found on a bike ride with a 'free' sign on it, I attempted to organize my dresser drawers, and then I joined them hanging in the yard for a couple hours. I finished the crab we ordered and now my Facebook feed is full of ads for seafood boxes and I want to order them all. Tonight we're just hanging around the house with Darren making pizzas with the dough Nova made yesterday and I'm trying not to get sucked into the internet while I'm finishing this post, so I'm gonna call it quits and hope you all stay safe out there.
