Black Mountain & Howlin Rain @ Casbah

There are some weeks where I find myself planning 3 or 4 or sometimes 5 nights in a row at the Casbah. Then there are times that I don't go at all. If the words 'psychedelic', 'prog', 'jam', or 'doom' are used to describe a band, I have little curiosity to even check it out. Sometimes, though, my arm gets twisted and I end up at a show I hadn't planned on seeing and I am thorougly impressed. Such was the case after TNT on Thursday for Howlin Rain and Black Mountain.

Unfortunately, since that's not really a style of music I follow, I've got no great recap of the bands, other than I'm glad I went, I'm glad I saw them both, and now I'm more apt to check out their albums. Plus, the guys from Howlin Rain were super cool and we messed around on the patio for a bit after the show. Really, I just have a whole lot of pics.
