Things To Do In San Diego: August 23, 2011

As promised, here are the listings through Thursday. For anyone who ever complains that there's nothing to do in San Diego, think again. Along with regular shows, today is the opening of Monkey Paw where the Jewel Box once stood, and on Thursday The Griffin celebrates their official grand opening (formerly O'Connell's), Cafe Sevilla opens in their new location (where Bondi used to be), and Urbanist is having a release party at 3RDSPACE on Park Blvd. Throw in a show I booked at the Casbah tonight, our SoundDiego party at Soda Bar, and my regular booking at West Coast Tavern (both on Thursday) and this week should be pretty insane. Hopefully in a good way.
