Local Forms that Function

DWR (that's Design Within Reach) is excited to showcase the work of three local modern furniture designers during our second annual Local Forms that Function Show. Design firm Bells & Whistles makes furniture from the inside out, combining theatrical fantasy with utilitarian practicality. Miki Iwasaki of mi-workshop builds each piece by hand, using environmentally conscious methods and materials. Spacecraft is a gallery and studio collective that designs and builds pieces from concept through construction. The opening reception will be on September 13 and their pieces will be on display through September 23.

the brainchild of a proven successful ownership team including Casbah and Turf
Club owner Tim Mays, filmmaker and regional entrepreneur Matt Hoyt,
long-celebrated local troubadour Steve Poltz and the
environmentally-conscious Chef Travis Murphy. Starlite is devoted to
meticulous craftsmanship on every level - from context to cocktails to
cuisine. Join us Thursday, September 13th as we celebrate our grand
opening. 6PM till close. 21+ only.
