I hate to tell you I told you so, but you had the chance to see Dusty Rhodes and the River Band when they had their FREE residency at the House of Blues San Diego. Well, my boys (and girl) got signed to SideOneDummy Records (home of Bedouin Soundclash, Flogging Molly, et. al.) and their debut album will be out in a little over a month. They are from Orange County but are just as beloved in San Diego as they are in LA and all our surrounding SoCal areas.

Their full length is called "First You Live" and if you're looking for a talented, multi-instumental, fun party band, Dusty Rhodes is the answer to your depression. I mean, if the boys of Di Nigunim can get me to swing dance in public to a band, as they did with this one, then I say that's a winner group. They'll make you feel drunk even if you're dead sober. I'm sure tour dates will be announced soon enough with the release of their album. Don't sleep. Catch this band while you can.
