Saturday Night Recap II: Deadbolt at the Ken Club

I arrived to the Ken Club about an hour before last call. I really intended to just find a barstool and chill out for the night, but Brett got on my case about not blogging the show, so I headed into the band room to catch what was left of Deadbolt's set. "The Scariest Band In The World" never disappoints with their surf rock/punk. I have been watching Deadbolt since I was in high school and they're definitely consistent. During their set, there was caution tape blocking off the stage which was an invitation for several girls to get onstage with the band and go go dance throughout the set. It definitely added to the dirty rock n roll vibe of the show and I'm glad I caught the part of the set that I did.

I don't wanna kill the mystique of the band, but would you believe this man was once my tennis instructor when I was in junior high?

It was a good ending to the night, good drinks, and somehow I got caught in a couple rounds of shots, so thanks for whoever ordered those up.
