Things To Do In San Diego: March 8, 2011

Tonight I'll be heading down to my first San Diego Mardi Gras in probably close to a decade. I've never been to New Orleans or their Mardi Gras, just as I've never been to Brazil for their Carnivale, and I know inevitably these things get commercialized and they might feel inauthentic and they might even just be a big frat party, but if I don't keep trying things and trying to enjoy them as they happen, I might as well wilt away forever. So yes, I'll be at "Mardi Gras". And I'll be laughing to myself when I get to say, "I'm on the Crystal Method's guestlist", because I remember how much I spent to see them back with my superdouche ex, the king of why I generally avoid such events. But I'm older and perhaps just willing to throw any noodle to a wall and see if it sticks. The rest of the week's listings are after the jump.
