So far there's been no break in the fires, the weather is still creating dangerous conditions for the fires all over the county. People seem calm as they can be, the newscasters are fiercely covering various areas. As I sit watching this coverage and being asked to not use too much water, to keep my windows closed, to not use my cell phone, I can't help but get pissed that I've received no less than 4 calls from telemarketers. No, I don't need my carpet cleaned. What business seizes this opportunity to seek out new customers?
The good news is that some of the air support have arrived and have finally been able to fly and do some retardant and water drops in some neighborhoods. The fire is still nowhere near contained, but it looks like some homes are being saved that might not have otherwise stayed standing.
