I've been glued to Channel 8 since about 6:30 this morning and I feel their coverage has been stellar. I've watched a little bit of KNSD and KGTV, but KFMB has me emotionally invested in this whole craziness. Below are two videos from their coverage today. The first is when Larry Himmel was watching his house burn down. The second is when it was already gone. 500 houses have burned down just like his has.
And by the way, can I mention again that Stan Miller has cemented himself as my favorite San Diego newscaster. Did you catch him threatening looters? Looks like he was ready to beat some ass, and that's what makes him great, he's not afraid to care and it never comes off as insincere. He and his family will be evacuating tonight. May his home in Palacio Del Mar be spared because we need him and his coverage in the morning.

Stan's my favorite too. I met him once and he really is *that* nice. Thanks for blogging, Rosey. This is all so devastating.
