I'm Obsessed With The Two-Toed Sloths at Sea World (Taken (6.24.21) |
Darren is getting perturbed with me for posting while drinking in the speakeasy, so I'm gonna just post this as is. I get super annoyed at Dr. Eric Feigl-Ding because he loves to self-reference, pull a lot of I-told-you-sos, and then creates threads that reference numerous other threads that he posted so it's easy to get lost in all of it, but this thread is particularly interesting because it is suggesting that the Delta variant can be contracted from "fleeting" contact, and even outdoors. Hold on to your masks, maybe bring back the goggles. I know Australia doesn't have the vaccination rate we do, but we live in a tourism town, so you never know who or what you're interacting with, even fleetingly. My rant on Tortilla guy is below, too. I've gotta go or this guy might fire me from being his drinking partner.
Stay safe out there.

- On the tortilla incident: I already said some of what I wanted, so I'll just stick to this fucknut who took the tortillas to the game in the first place. Bro, you're 40 fucking years old with no kids at the school but felt drawn as an alumnus to attend the game. You say tortilla-throwing was tradition at UCSB. Well, I looked it up and while it has been done, it was also forbidden there for the racist undertones. Even by a known super racist school that breeds incel bros like UCSB. (Beautiful campus, shitty people.) Even by a school whose mascot is Gauchos, which by some very flimsy stretch you might think tortillas are an acceptable way of celebrating victories. You're 40 years old. You know better. And the news channels gave you a free pass --- white fucking privilege even if you're "half-Mexican" ---to say what you wanted and make you look innocent. You're not. You're an asshole and I hope at the very least you get charged with intent to cause a riot or some shit, but you won't because you're from Coronado, the cops in Coronado are from Coronado, and all islanders protect islanders. Doesn't mean you're not a legit fucking scumbag who should be banned from any Coronado High School events in perpetuity (get a life! who goes to their high school's games if you don't even have kids there??).
