Los Angeles based three piece band Eastern Conference Champions will be returning to San Diego this Tuesday at the Beauty Bar on El Cajon Blvd. Originally from Philadelphia, the band is enjoying renewed interest after one of its songs was featured on the recently released Twilight Saga: Eclipse Soundtrack. Prior to that the band had only offered one full length, 2007's Ameritown. It was well received but the band decide to go in a more independent direction, leaving Geffen Records. The band is touring to promote their second LP, Speak-Ahh, which will be released this fall. Founding member Joshua Ostrander has stated this will be somewhat different than the band's previous effort. One way to find out will be in evidence this Tuesday on the back patio at the Beauty Bar. Do yourself a favor and go see one of LA's really good bands in an intimate setting.
