Thursday June 16th Austin, Tx invades San Diego and the Casbah is going to need earplugs. Austin trio Ringo Deathstarr and The Trail of Dead take the Casbah by storm or fuzz should I say. Ringo Deathstarr bring their brand of shoegaze and hazy harmonies to welcoming ears. They've been touring the globe relentlessly since their whopping twelve shows at SXSW this past March, followed by European and Japan tours. As you can tell these three are road warriors comprised of Elliott Frazier, Daniel Coborn and Alex Gehring who recently released their full - length record Colour Trip (Sonic Unyon/AC30) in March are hungry and ready to unleash the sounds upon the masses. After their string of West Coast dates with The Trail of Dead (June 15th - June 22nd) the band will hit Minneapolis and on through the East Coast and Canada routing back to Texas mid July. My Old Kentucky Blog said "At heart, Ringo Deathstarr is a tremendous pop band, perhaps ready to rival Belle and Sebastien" and Wired stated "The band sounds like it leaped screaming out of My Bloody Valentine's blown amps".
