Things To Do In San Diego: June 14-15, 2011

I'm here!!! I arrived in Newark yesterday around 4pm local time and had an interesting time navigating to Penn Station and finding my cousin's office right in the thick of all of it. We cabbed up to her place at 65th and Columbus and took a breather. I had basically been up all night because after doing merch at the Casbah, I went to the Cherry Bomb and then when that closed, I walked to the airport. With my luggage. That took a while but it was kinda fun walking that Harbor Drive bike path at 4 in the morning without anyone around. Unfortunately my iPod took a dump, so I was listening to Slacker on my phone which is why when I arrived on the east coast, my phone was dead. My cousin hurt her leg somehow, so we decided to take it easy last night. We grabbed some wine from 67 Wine and Spirits, had a couple slices and garlic knots at Francesco's, picked up some fruit from a street vendor, and got me a metro card for the week. Today I'll be exploring the city on my own while she works so tweet me your sightseeing suggestions. Thanks again for everyone contributing to the site and to my being here, especially Brian, Mike and Steve, and not sure if I thanked Todd for taking care of my babies while I'm away. My laptop can't connect to my cousin's wifi for some reason so I'm using her computer, but there's a Starbucks around the corner so I'll try and get some photos up later today.
