Locksley Tonight At House of Blues

I'm gonna be at the House of Blues tonight to check out Locksley who are opening for Rooney. I really wish I'd written sooner, but didn't have the chance to, but if you're itchin for a good show tonight, check it out.

Here's some info from the press release (I deleted a bunch of it, but here's the gist. I can feel any cred I had slipping away...)

Selected as one of Rolling Stone’s “Top 25 Bands on Myspace”

“They rock with a youthful exuberance very few bands have been able to muster since the early days of Beatlemania.” - AP

“These Brooklyn-based rockers refashion perfectly catchy ‘60s pop on their first LP, Don’t Make Me Wait.” - Spin.com

Jesse Laz-Hirsch - lead vocals, rhythm guitar

Timeless songs and a contagious youthful optimism are the foundations of Wisconsin-raised, Brooklyn-based Locksley

Locksley garnered rave reviews from the NY Daily News, Alternative Press, Billboard Magazine, and Metrolite UK.

Locksley secured a deal with STARZ movie channel in which the network funded and shot a music video for the song "Don't Make Me Wait," which was spliced with clips of upcoming major motion pictures and released on all Starz channels to promote their OnDemand service.

Locksley were commissioned to pen the theme song for the MTV series "Why Can't I Be You?".

While Locksley's songs have been embraced by advertisers and critics, it is their blistering live performances that have earned them their rabid fanbase, the result of which has been three highly successful tours (two U.S., one U.K.), and a gig as the house band for world-famous CBGB. Not to mention opening slots for the likes of OkGo, She Wants Revenge, We Are Scientists, John Vanderslice, Hanson, and the Dandy Warhols.
