Things To Do In San Diego: February 17, 2011

So I lied. Or maybe I was overambitious. I actually hoped to have weekend listings done early this week, when that didn't happen, I hoped maybe I'd squeeze them in yesterday. Unfortunately I was caught up at the Casbah and setup for Stimy's Benefit started really early and before I knew it, I was slinging t-shirts and learning the fine art of making Frito Boats (and learning a lesson about stopping at one serving). Now it's time to get super excited about the Anthology show tonight. I'm really glad I made my DJ mixtapes before my CD/DVD drive malfunctioned (when I say "eject", I mean EJECT!!) If you can't make it to Anthology, there's still plenty of goodness around town. I booked Old Tiger over at West Coast Tavern, so they'll be playing around 10 pm, and as always, those shows are free (and no RSVP required!). Scott Biram is over at the Casbah, and Tin Can has some great fuzzy buzzy bands, too. Get out and enjoy the town. I will try not to spend the night thinking about work or how insane this weekend is gonna be with Sunset Sessions and the second Stimy benefit. Tonight, let's just enjoy.
