Spoon at Little Radio, June 16, 2007

Last week I posted about an intimate show at Little Radio in Los Angeles. I, of course, couldn't go, but my friend Kristian was able to buy tickets ($15 for a show with only 300 people!) and went to the show last night. Here's his report:

Spoon was dope. Opened with 3 brand new songs. Played almost the whole new album except "Finer Feelings", of course, my fave. Crowd was very subdued but that's because it was probably the most low key crowd I've ever seen in LA (attire included). The free Dewars was flowing, and it was needed as it was about 100 degrees in the main room. John Vanderslice was good, from the 15 minutes or so I saw, and all in all, it was a success. Not including the lame girl behind/to the right of the stage in the tan dress. She sucked. You would have thought she got a
promotion or something and Spoon was just there to celebrate. So yeah, Spoon was great, played for about 80 minutes, and brought the hits and swagger.
So there ya go. Wish I had been there.
