New San Diego Blog: 91X Blog in Disguise???

Today I got an e-mail from a blogger who has started a new San Diego blog. With a couple mouse clicks I find his MySpace profile and he works for ClearChannel. I'm really happy that there are a lot more local bloggers, but a little bitter that he contacted me through my blog, yet didn't blogroll my site. I also had been hearing buzz about 91X starting a blog so whether this is a commercial site disguised as a personal one, I do not know. You can judge his blog for yourself here. He has an interview with Dustin of Kite Flying Society and other cool features. A lot of it also seems to be a lot of regurgitated Stereogum and Pitchfork Media information. Do you, dear readers, want that? Or don't you already read 'gum, 'fork, and Brooklyn Vegan?? Just wondering...

(correction: Jeremy works for the company that owns 91X, Z90, and Magic 92.5, which are owned (or licensed at least) by Finest City Broadcasting, not Clearchannel as I stated. To me, it's really the same thing, considering Mike Glickenhaus, the owner, was a CC employee forever and his offices are still housed in the ClearChannel compound. Thanks to Jason for pointing out the error, but my point remains the same.)

And other than this post, he will get a link when I get a link. Neener-neener.

Clear Channel doesn't own 91X. Finest City Broadcasting owns 91X. Clear Channel barely even exists anymore, so I'd say your math is a bit off, but your point about regurgitating other's content is right on.
