Arcade Fire: San Diego, April 26, Spreckels

Just hoping that by sharing this info, a little good karma will come my way and I'll end up with good seats for Arcade Fire, but just wanted to share that tickets go onsale on Saturday at 10 am. I was going to go to the box office, however it is not open until NOON. Save the gas and suck up the service charges and buy them online. I have not been able to find out the per ticket cost, so if you have info, cough it up.

Called ticketmaster and got the scoop for ya!
$33.75/ticket with a $7-$7.95 service charge. Was told more likely to be $7.95. No facility fee is being shown at this time...

Ok, so of course this is going to be the hot shit show of the year. There always needs to be a few...but i'm really starting to stress about this one after seeing how these guys have been selling out in a matter of minutes at every venue they appear at. It's been years since i've actually "waited" in line for the box office to open and buy tickets...shit maybe the smiths at OAT in '84, yeah i'm old and jaded and maybe not as hip as some of the people who read this blog but that's how we did it back in the day before internet. So i'm stuck with a dilemma, do i stick with the tried and true...get to the box office early with my chair and camp out in the cold, rainy weather OR wake up late, pop on to my computer with thousands of other people and try to get two of the 1200 tix available....hummm... however, if i am going to a ticket office, you're window of opportunity could only be 10 min before the tickets are sold out so if you get some slow as $7.50 dollar an hour person to get you tickets that cost the wage of his/her all day pay, I'm just wondering how fast they will process the request and move on to the next person. i guess you gotta roll the dice of life and hopefully not come up short. Anyway, it's been a long time since i stressed out about a show...it's kinda exciting. Any thoughts?

I would've loved to actually wait in line, but since the tickets will be onsale on line at 10 and the actual box office doesn't open until noon, my guess is there won't be any tickets to buy at the box office when the time comes. And you can bet that all of us locals will be competing with LA assholes for tickets here, too. My feeling is everyone locally should buy as many tickets as possible and then sell them to friends AT COST, because it should be about the music, not about being a power mongering greedy asshole.

rosemary, i like your idea...since the box office doesn't open till noon, any ticket master outlet store will do.
