Local musician Vanja James has permanently relocated to Northern California because she "wasn't finding what (she) was looking for in San Diego."

Everyone in indie blogger nation has a boner over the SXSW band listings which you can find here. No major surprises from San Diego: AJ Croce, Rob Crow, Earthless, Steve Poltz, Rafter & Friends, The Softlightes, and Weatherbox. Who is Weatherbox?? Several other bands will be playing in the area that aren't a part of the official festival, including Republic of Letters among others.
