Writer On The Road To SXSW: Las Vegas to Tucson

Regular SD:Dialed In contributor Dagart is on the road with Writer as they make their way to South By Southwest. After the Writer show on Thursday night at Bar Pink, the band agreed to update some posts for us. Since they've got limited internet access along the way, they posted a blog on their MySpace page. waiting in line to cross the hoover damn, and the very awesome homeland security officer just asked us who in the car could play sweet home alabama? dagart, andy and i all pointed at david and laughed. last night we played in las vegas at the double down saloon. interesting to say the least, the city and the people seem a bit surreal. thanks to david's friend nick, the four of us were able to share an executive sweet as well with two pleasent surprises. our two friends melina and alathea showed up at the double down to suprise us and we stayed up till three watching dagart play black jack and after we made cup of noodles, had a beer, and went to sleep. this morning we woke up, made some coffee, and got on the road to tucson. tonight lights on joins us to play the red room and as well as our next few dates in new mexico and texas.
